A snowy adventure

I'm not a fan of driving in the snow to have tons of fun sledding etc....but TJ and Hollie talked us into it. I can't remember why the rest of the family didn't make this fun filled trip...we sure missed them. Any way on to the story...the closer we got to Idaho City the worse the roads got, and it started snowing pretty good. Well none of us brought the direction, so I was getting cranker and cranker...I don't like snowy roads ;o). So we stopped at a gas station in Idaho City and asked where we were suppose to go...Here is a picture of us leaving there...well TJ and Hollie leaving there. They look excited....not me! This is the place we found...Like all the snow! Yep this is what we were driving in.
This is where we parked for our fun journey into the unknown. Had to park here because all the other spots were taken up with snowmobile trailers. Look at all that snow.
Tim hurrying to catch his grandsons....Like they would leave without him ;o)
There they are....see them through the trees?
We don't need to go any further...Ethan and Caleb have found a fun place to play.
Getting their sleds out and ready...
Caleb was ready to sled...even if it was not on a hill...notice he has a green sled!!!
We thought it would be faster if we pulled the kids up the hill....so here is Grandpa with Ethan.
Hollie headed out.
I was pulling Caleb his green sled and the inner tube...funny I didn't notice when he fell off ;o)
Grandpa and Ethan are getting way in front of us....
Now they are disappearing around the corner....I hope the sledding hill is there.
Yahoo we caught up with them...no sledding hill...but no worries Ethan has found a fun way to ride in the sled.
He is making snowballs and grandpa pulls him
I turned my sled over to TJ and Caleb is making snowballs now also. Hollie got to be the lucky one to carry the tube and sled.
Still walking...boys are having fun!!
TJ took off running and caught Ethan and Grandpa
Now TJ has Ethan and the hill is still there....it never ends and no sledding hill either.
A look at where we came from....
Ethan's turn to pull...still climbing...
Ok Caleb's turn to pull also...he is trying to catch up with Ethan but he like to walk in the deep snow on the side....
Still walking....
Caleb still pulling the sled but in the deep snow.
Another corner....do you think the hill might be around it?
Ok he gave up the sled but not the deep snow ;o)
It took forever but we finally found this little hill....back where they are cutting lumber and clearing an area out...not really good sledding but we all had a little fun...
Ethan almost running over grandpa...don't worry grandpa took Ethan out later, only I didn't get a picture of it...
TJ trying a fun looking spot....you know me and my camera...but the time I got this taken he was down the hill and done.
Caleb top of the hill having fun....
Hollie taking a turn...;o)
Caleb...he has a hard time holding on and keeping his feel on the sled...
Here is my great camera skills...I was going to get him on his way...Yep that is Ethan's feet
At the bottom ;o)
Ethan posing for a picture on some of the equipment that was up there.
Ethan showing me where he wanted his picture next
Ethan and his Daddy
All by himself
Throwing snowballs
Ethan and Caleb

Boys will be boys....
We decided it was time to head back to the car...since we couldn't find a good hill...but then Hollie found a spot on the side of the road that she tought would be fun...it was a small slope...but the kids....all 5 of them had fun....the only problem is it went up to you knees if you tried to walk up the slope so we crawled...tons of fun
I think this is where Grandpa takes out Ethan but of course my camera wouldn't work that fast.
Just having fun!!
Look even Caleb sinks to his knees...not sure what the other two are doing...
I thought I got pictures of the way back down but I guess not...Here is Ethan snowball he made riding on the sled down...
Here is Calebs snowball...they wanted to keep them but we all know that wouldn't owrk so I took pictures for them
Just wanted to show how the parking lot looked when we left...not near as much snow, and no other cars...
It was a fun time...and the roads were clear and dry all the way home! We all had a good workout and slept great that night!
