Day 10 In Japan!

Today was the day of our cooking class.  But we still had some time to kill before then  so we headed to the Fish Market.  On our way there I spotted this little restaurant, and thought it was funny so I took  a picture.  Who would have ever thought there would be a Denny's in Tokyo?
These next couple of picture show how the cars can go right up to the crosswalk when turning while their light is red,  It was so weird to see.  In the second picture you see the the red that is on some intersections letting them know how far they can go I guess!

The Fish Market...I loved that big fish on the sign!  No way you could miss what it stood for!
Some of the goods, Tim was taking a picture at one booth and the lady said no pictures!

We thought these were very high priced fruits, they were pretty big but I wouldn't pay $10 for an apple
A behind the scene shot
I loved this little guy watching over this booth
Once again they have a small space to work in but they are very functional.
All the people.  This thing was a couple of blocks big, and except for the first street we went on most of them looked like this.
A building in the middle of it all?
I took this picture because the two motorcars still have the keys in it!  Man they are very trusting here.
Lots of fish things!
Lots of people

Fish skins!  Yuck!
Hugh carrots. The picture doesn't do them justice.
Cute little fish eyes and all!
Ok this is yucky too.  This is what they call omelet's, they cook them in a loaf pan, and serve them cold!
Crabs! And other stuff!

So as we are headed to our cooking class, we pass the Bon Marche'  What????
The stairs...Lots of stairs, these are at the train station

Oh I had to get a picture of their toilets...I'm just glad they had a few western style ones!!!
Cooking class

We were so excited to learn how to make egg rolls...well that is exactly what we did, we rolled eggs!

Finished product  I think we did a great job!

So I forgot to get a picture before we went in, but here is where our class was.  We had to climb those skinny stairs, up to Books of Japan and that is where we cooked!

More stairs, I'm surprised these are empty because they never were, weird
We are now on our way to the Ginza!!
I liked the round front on this building and the clock tower!

Another Christmas Tree! If you click on the picture you will be able to see the light and read the writing on the concrete.

Ok we found this to be pretty cool!  Once again if you click on the picture you will see the snake has lights also!

These pictures were to show how they advertise what store is on what floor.  All the signs on the outside are the names of the stores on that floor.

These are all pictures from Ginza.  Tim really wanted to go there because that was where they went on M.A.S.H.

The tree from across the street

Not sure what this is, but I did think it was pretty cool
The street lights on the corners!  How cute!

We saw a sign that called these poinsettia's, princessettia's but we didn't take a picture of it.
More Christmas decorations.  Tim and I walked around downtown Boise and didn't see anything that competed with Japan's Christmas decorations, which we thought was weird because they don't Celebrate Christmas like we do they just like the commercial side of it!

That is the kids school bus!  What talk about spoiled!!  Ha,ha,ha!
So happy to be home from school!
Ok this picture is not of Trip...it is of the guy behind him sitting on a chair.  He is counting cars.  He gets paid to sit there all day and count them!  Crazyiness.
Headed out to dinner
That pretty building again.  I'm guessing it's a church but I don't think we ever saw any signs, but I can't remember.
We went to the Kua 'aina Sandwich for dinner, and they had Hawaiian Pancake's no we didn't get any!
More displays of the food they have.  I found this custom very interesting.
Yep I took a picture of the sign after we went in.
What more stairs are you kidding!!  You order downstairs and have to go upstairs to eat.  A lot of places were like this.
I got the avocado salad
We also go fries and onion rings to share.
Tim got a Hawaiian Chicken sandwich
Ok here is the sign from outside after we left.  Above the word Hawaii is where we ate.
Stay tuned for more fun filled pictures!!!
