Well we already saw her birthday lunch..now here is her presents...

Happy Birthday Tatem!

Thoughts on being 50

Well it has been one month to the day that I turned that dreaded old age of 50!! And I have a few thoughts on it. Hope you enjoy and don't laugh to hard....

1) It doesn't bother me to leave the windows open at night any more...

2) It doesn't bother me to leave the windows open during the day when no one is home...

3) It doesn't bother me to leave the doors unlocked when we are home...

4) Sometimes I don't care if my car is locked or not...

5) I now for maybe the second time in my life carry a purse.

6) If all I want to do is read...then I read...

7) If I want to eat 3 red velvet cupcakes at 8 at night I will!!!

8) I let my 3 youngest grand kids walk up to a slide at roaring springs even thought I could not see them the whole time and did not worry once.

9) I'm staying up till 10 or so...yes reading sometimes.

10) Went to take a load to the dump with Tim...man that is a really cool place...wish I had my camera...no I didn't help unload...the only people unloading were all mean looking women so I stayed in the truck reading ;o) and taking in the site...cool place you need to go visit if you have never been there.

11) Finding out I'm not as strong as I used to be ;o)

12) I'm a little more worried about riding in great grandpa Wilde's truck, what if there is a spider in there??

13) Finding that I'm fat some days and not others.

14) Finding I still worry about my kids but not as much as before ;o)

15) Finding I have a who cares attitude sometimes...where before I would have been stressing out.

16) Oh yeah I can sleep with the ceiling fan on also....weird.

17) I can handle the air conditioning a little longer, before I get a sweater.

18) I will go on some of the water slide with the grand kids, which I never did with my kids...

19) I will drink off the same straw as the grand kids sometimes.

20) I tried a habanaro (sp) sauce at TJ's birthday dinner...just a little like a dot, but hey I tried it! (yes his dinner was after my birthday, we are a little behind on them.)

21)I have actually thrown some old stuff away! And giving some stuff I don't use to the DI, so much for being a pack rat!!

22) It only took me two hours to get up the courage to go ask the neighbor if I could use their phone because Tim locked me out of the house!!! Ha,ha,ha. Long story...

23) I'm going barefoot sometimes. Once again weird...

24) Talked Tim into going wild with our repainting of the house...every room has a kinda bold accent wall...I love it!

25) I will sit outside on the deck when no one else is there but me and the dogs...weird.

26) I've order food from the drive up...is it cheating that I had two grand kids with me when I did it!

27) I will drive with the passenger side window down, when no one is in the car but me!

28) Bought a pair or two of shoes that cost over $25 $30.

29) Trampolines still scare me though ;o)

Well that is all I can think of...I'm sure there is more but what it is who knows.

Every thing is wearing out...

It seems like all our fun stuff in old and tired so we have to buy new...We found a washing machine and dryer that we liked and Tim called TJ and said hey can you stop by to help me unload the new washer and dryer real quick...Of course he said yes...but the kids know when we say real quick there is usually nothing quick about it. Here they are bringing it up the stairs.Almost there...

At least they are having fun...look at them laughing!!!

Just so you know... Terriebeth and John came and helped move them once, and then Tabitha has been over to help move them also...and yes they were real quick things also. ( wink, wink)

Ok, it won't be that far of a trip but I'm a little late posting Race for the Cure pictures. Here is the Spratts getting their numbers on...do you think two of them don't trust two of them since they are looking over their shoulders to make sure they don't get poked with the pin?I'm guessing this is...you really are leaving me with your crazy family again...please walk with me.. You will be ok!!!

Yes it was a good thing we had our trees thinned...here is a branch that fell on our deck in a little wind storm...glad it was only a small one...Good thing no one was out there at the time....
Maybe just maybe it was the squirrels way of getting back at us for taking their playground and food storage???
