Scary Morning....

Well just wanted to let you all know we had a little bit of a scare this morning. I will try to tell the story to best of my knowledge...

I was at work just minding own business...working hard but getting nothing I need done, and the phone rings and it is Tabitha
"Mom have you heard from Terriebeth?"
"No"....mom notices a little stress, fear, worry in Tab's voice...wondering what is going on??
"Why??"
"Well she called me earlier this morning and said she was cleaning up spider web outside the house and got stung by a bee, and it started to swell, so we talked about what she could do and I told her I would call her back after class, and I've tried a couple of times and she is not answering. I've got to go back into class...will you call her and let me know if she is ok...and tell her she is mean for not answering the phone"
"Ok I'll call her"
Mom calls Terriebeth and no answer...no worries..calls again in about 5 minutes...still no answer.
"hummmm that is weird...why is JT not answering the phone and telling me if she is ok?" I wait a minute or two and then call again....no answer again..." Oh wait JT is at school...Tatem might not know she needs to answer the phone and tell me how mommy is...is she sitting by her crying because she has past out....." Thinks for a minute...."who is going to pick up JT?, Ok I wait just a bit then I will call John at work and see if he has heard anything" Call again...no answer. Then I think "Where would Tim be now is he close to their house...oh wait Hollie has today off and she is close maybe she will run over there and see for us"...Call Hollie
"Hello"
"Hi are you working today"
"No"
"Are you home"
"Yes"
"Can you run over to Terriebeths and check on her"
"Why what's going on?"
"Well Tabitha called....no answer...Blah, blah, blah.."
"Ok I'll go over Caleb is in the tub, we'll go as soon as I get him out and ready"
Ok I'm good now help is just minutes away ;o)
About ....oh I don't know how long my phone rings and it is Terriebeth
"Are you alive"
"Yes...why wouldn't I be?" (or something like that)
"Well Tabitha called.....Why aren't you answering the phone?"
"I went back out side and left the phone in the house"
"Well you better go call Hollie because she is on her way over"
"I already called her...she left a message and said she was coming over to check on me...blah,blah,blah"
Then she goes on to say she thought Tabitha got out of class at noon...so she didn't even think about taking the phone out.
And I told her about calling John at work...and she said he is not at work mom...what ....oh yeah he is hunting...some help he would be ;o)
Meanwhile Tim, TJ , John and JT are enjoying their day just fine...no stress, no worries, no fears.

You got to love those kids!!! Crazy mixed up kids...who do they belong to any way!!!

Hope you all have a great Tuesday!

Ha! What a fun morning, you are all so very funny. Poor Caleb got the short end of the stick because Holie got him out of the tub telling him he was going to come to Aunt TerrieBeth's house and then they didn't get to come over. He called to tell me he wanted to come to my house. Poor guy, but I was the one stung by a bee...ow ow ow!

In my defense...I don't typically over react. But I get this class from my sister freaking out because she got stung by a bee and it is starting to swell up. I asked her if it was a bee or a wasp and she had no idea. I tell her to put some baking soda paste on it and I would call her back after class... Meanwhile, I am sitting in this class learning about the immune system and, sure enough, allergic reactions!! So all I can think is, man what if TB goes into anaphylactic shock and nobody is there but the kids. So I call her after class and she doesn't answer. I call again (thinking JT would pick up)and still no answer. I have another class starting so I called mom at school to tell her what was going on...little did I know I started this chain reaction of worrying!

Fair point...I wouldn't normally expect that kind of reaction from you either....mom, yeah. Although in my defense I though you were calling back at noon when all your classes were over! Once JT got home from school and I told him what happened he very calmly said "why didn't you just hold still?" Ummm...because some unknown thing had fallen from gutter down my shirt and I was trying to get it out. "Well mom once you saw it was a bee you should have stopped moving." Thanks kidd-o!

As for my side of the story... Caleb is in the middle of a bath and my phone rings with a number that I don't recognize. I answer and they just ask "are you home?" I recognized my mother-in-laws voice, but it still kind of took me a minute. Then she tells me to go and check on TerrieBeth. Why? She is a big girl, what is going on? So, she tells me the story and I tell her ok, but Caleb is in the middle of the bath. I hang up sure that it is just a typical over reaction from my mother-in-law so I call and leave TerrieBeth a message telling her that her mother thought she was dying and if she didn't call me back soon I would be coming over as soon as I got Caleb out of the tub. Then I continue to bathe Caleb in no hurry and I start thinking... what if something is wrong and here I am thinking it is just an overreaction? So, I try to hurry Caleb up, but he is not happy about it. I knew that the thought of going to TerrieBeths would hurry him up which it did, but shortly after pulling Caleb out of the tub the phone rings. Luckily I was right. My in-laws were overreacting and everything was just fine. Caleb was pretty dissappointed though.
