Not sure why we are laughing but my guess is this should be picture 2 but I had the camera off the first time I took it! Oh well it works for me!~
We had to have something fun to do while we were waiting in a scary place. It wasn't so bad in daylight but not that great either. |
Our very weird rental car. It was a Prius. It is a hybrid, no key needed to start!
Here is a view of the dashboard...if you look in picture about it is at the top of the picture to the left. weird! |
A cool building...not sure why there is only one car, because there was cars everywhere!
A little bit different angle of the building...and no cars...weird!
One more shot of Boston before we get to all the cars maybe!
I love the road from Boston to Plymouth...it is all tree lined so beautiful1
I think I was trying to get the cars and the trees all at once here. We pretty much didn't go over 45 if we went that, even though speed limit was 65, cars were bumper to bumper almost the whole way!
I was so excited to be able to say that I've been on South 3. Wow one of the first highways ever build!
Yep trying to document it again! See that big 3!
A windmill!
Our Hotel The John Carver Inn |
The room was so nice compared to last night so I took pictures. The cozy chair by the fireplace! |
The wonderful desk and dresser! |
The nice soft very high up bed! |
The bathroom was even cute!
The fancy shower curtains
Complete with cute tiles in the floor! |
Once we got in and got settled we headed out for some food! We ended up at a place called Percy's Place! Time for some more just the two of us pictures! Oops wait I have my reading glasses on... |
Nope your eyes were closed! |
Ok well that is a little better....for you!
It was a cute place...here is a look! All the staff were really nice and it was clean and yep we liked it tons!
The original Courthouse is the white building on the left, and the church is one of the first build in Plymouth
The Mayflower II built in 1959...story to follow later!
Picture of Atlantic Ocean |
Another view! |
Cute little houses across from the ocean |
All the boats moored in the bay
Just moored no one on them that we could see anyway.
They are everywhere.
Our first view of Plymouth Rock
Plymouth Rock is only about half of it's original size mainly due to people chipping off souvenirs. They finally built a fence around it to protect it. |
The cross walks are painted green to highlight them for all of the tourists.
Some more cool houses and a park that we can't remember the name of.
This one is important can't remember it's name either.
Another view of "The Rock".
The date is stamped on Plymouth Rock. If you enlarge the picture you are able to view it better. |
Taking pictures with the cell phone to send to my kids.
The story of Plymouth Rock
We then went out to dinner with the Duffy's and the Pierce's no more pictures for the night that is weird!
